HERITAGE MATTERS – SERVICE FOR FOREIGNERS IN POLAND
- We will conduct an inheritance division so that the inheritance property is divided fairly. A court confirmation of the acquisition of an inheritance authorizes only a certain (expressed in a fraction) part of the property. In order for specific items included in the inheritance to become the property of specific heirs, a court division of the inheritance must be carried out. This is not mandatory, but highly recommended to avoid problems with managing your estate in the future.
- We will conduct a case for a legitim to obtain the due share of the inheritance. It happens that as a result of testamentary inheritance, the heir did not receive anything from the estate. In such a situation, he may demand a legitim from the other heirs. The legitim is half of the part of the inheritance property due to him, which he would get if he inherited in accordance with the law.
- We represent clients in inheritance cases where the testator is a person residing in Poland before his death. As a rule, inheritance acquisition proceedings are conducted in the territory of the country where the testator had his center of life before his death, regardless of his citizenship.
